Saturday 11 December 2021 Final program

The new program has been developed together with the IAGG-Asian Academy for Medicine of Ageing (AAMA) and will be devoted to all “future leaders” in Gerontology and Geriatrics who are eligible to participate and in compatible time zones.

The online teaching activities will propose 3-hour training sessions, to be held once a month (on the second Saturday of the month for the training sessions organised by the Asian Academy for Medicine of Aging).

The first session is scheduled on Saturday 11 December 2021, see objectives and timing below:

  • Be aware of the important worldwide demographic shift
  • Understand the history evolution of the concept of “Healthy Ageing”
  • Learn the underlying basis of the “WHO Healthy Ageing” definition
  • Know the goals of the “UN-WHO decade of Healthy Ageing 2021-2030”
  • Perceive the challenge of measuring “Healthy Ageing”
  • Incorporate the individual and environmental components of “Ageing in place”
  • Grasp the results of the existing multicomponent study to promote “Healthy Ageing” within the community
